Are you looking to get involved with Engineers without Borders? This is the place for you! Not sure what type of time commitment you can give? Don’t worry, you can try us out and you can find the right balance. You can help out in a lot of ways. You can volunteer your time to working on the board. You can help out with administrative work with our website or emails. You can just come to our meetings and give your two cents on where we should be headed. You can help out with our fundraising events.
You can volunteer to help out on our project team. We try to have two projects going at the same time, but are currently between projects. Our projects include the design and installation of water transport systems, water treatment systems, or other normally underfunded basic infrastructure needs.
You can help out with our Navajo Nations endeavors. Most of this work includes what you would see with Habitat for Humanity with an EWB twist. In the past we have installed water lines, electrical wiring and footprints for renewable energy units, drywall and flooring, etc.
The point is that there are so many ways you can get involved with the Great Salt Lake Chapter. Come to one of our general meetings which are the second Monday of every month at WesTech Engineering, Inc. (3665 S West Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84115) at 5:30 pm. There we review our needs, our budgets, and discuss the Navajo Nations project.
